Sabine Balogh

Good morning, we are the pupils of Primary and Music School in Balatonlelle. This year we work in a Socrates Project. Our main topic is the migration. Therefore we should like to interview some foreign people living in Balatonlelle why they have moved here.

Dániel Kiss:

Good morning. We are the pupils in seventh B class. My name is Dániel KISS.

Sándor Nagyfi:

My name is Sándor NAGYFI.

Dániel Kiss:

We interview Ms. Sabine Balogh in Europe room at school. Ms. Sabine Balogh comes from Germany.

N.S.: What is your name?

B.S.: My name is Sabine Balogh.

K.D.: How old are you?

B.S.: I am thirty-six years old.

N.S.: Where did you come from to Hungary?

B.S.: I come from Thuringia, from a small village called Stanau. Before I came to Hungary I had lived in a big city in Jena. Jena is located also in Thuringia.

K.D.: What was the purpose of your coming?

B.S.: My husband comes from Hungary. He is Hungarian.

N.S.: Why have you left your homeland?

B.S.: We got married in Germany and after that we moved here.

K.D.: What kind of problems occurred?

B.S.: First we had some troubles with the documents and visa to enter. Later the main problem was the language, I did not speak Hungarian. Fortunately my husband speaks German well and later I  acquired Hungarian.

N.S.: How did you come into Somogy County?

B.S.: My husband lived here in Balatonlelle. We have built a house here.

K.D.: Did you come here alone or with the family?

B.S.: Our older son was born in Germany, I came with him. My husband lived already here that time.

N.S.: What do you like in your new residence?

B.S.: Well, first of all I like Balaton. I am glad that Balatonlelle is so nice resort place and in summer there are a lot of tourists. But this place is very beautiful even in winter. The best is Balaton. 

 K.D.: What do you miss mostly?

B.S.: I miss especially my parents, relatives and friends in Germany. But we go to Germany regularly, approx. twice a year and we contact by phone.

 N.S.: Do you regret that you left your country?

B.S.: No, not at all. We have created our life. We have got a nice house and enjoy our stay here.
