WHERE DO YOU COME FROM?

I come from Ukraine from the town of Donezk. The city has 1.5 million inhabitants.

 WHY DID YOU LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY/ PLACE OF RESIDENCE?

My husband is a German resettler. He wanted to stay with his mother. She has lived in Germany, Eisenberg since 10 years. I myself have been in Germany since January 2000.1 accompanied my husband, because he wanted to lived in the country of his ancestors.

DID YOU COME ALONE OR WITH YOUR FAMILY?

With my family ( husband, a son, 5 years old ) My second son was born in Germany.

 IN WHICH WAY WERE YOU WELCOME?

I was treated in a friendly way, but there were reserved people in my surroundings.

WHAT DO YOU LI KE AT YOUR NEW PLACE OF RESIDENCE?

It is very quiet here, it's very different to the big city. That's good. I notice the tidy, clean streets in towns. I like that.

WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST OF ALL?

I miss my parents, friends and collegues most of all. As I stayed at home for 2 years because of the children. I miss the contact to other people.

HAVE YOU EVER REGRETTED YOUR DECISION TO GO AWAY?

Actually not, but the start without knowledge of the language was hard. There were lots of open questions and I had problems to get orientation in my new surroundings.
