“Most wanted profession in a European future” |
MOST WANTED PROFESSIONS IN FUTURE EUROPE Today, Sunday afternoon, I have been thinking of what will be the jobs of the times to come. I find it difficult to know but I will try to get to a conclusion. Technology is developing fast and this makes me guess that all professional will be somehow related to computers. _Today we are almost computer-addicts. These changeable machines control our lives. If they don´t work you won´t be able to get plane tickets, a appointment for the doctor or operate your bank account. Have you thought about how long ago did you last play a game of patience with cards? Of course you will have to know how to use computers if you want th have a job. So, being a computer programmer will be a good job. These will enable the development of other sciences like Medicine, Mathematics, Sociology or Accountancy. This profession will need a lot of specialisation and a great amount of work and dedication. As I live on the Costa del Sol, in Southern Spain, I think tourism will be an important source of wealth. The tourist trade will offer a great variety of jobs from maintenance services ut to managing director. No doubt, globalization will generate competitiveness and it will be necessary toknow about computers, languages and marketing techiques. But there are two professions tht will never become out of date, these are medicine and teaching. Illnesses will alwas exist. Unfortunately we will wlways need a doctor and a scientist to face the new challenges in biological research. On the other hand, all great scientists and profesionals had an will have nedd of primary school teachers as well as high or University teachers. Neverthless, if you think right the best job in the future will be one which works for PEACE. Without it no works will be necessary. By Matías Armando Sarrabayrousse 4º B 15 years old Benalmádena |
