 Which country do you come from?

I’m from Turkey.

 For how long have you lived in Denmark?

I have lived here for 29 years.

 Why did you come to Denmark?

Because my parents went here when I was only two years old…

 

 

Did you come to Denmark alone or with your family?

Well, with my parents.

 Do you like living in Denmark?

Yes, but I would rather live in my own country…

 Do you like the Danish society?

Both… and.

 

 

Where would you prefer to live – and why?

I’d prefer to live in Turkey. I have a son (9 years old) and I cannot give him any of my own (Turkish) culture here…

 Have you been in your native country since you came to Denmark?

Yes, I have.

 Do you plan to go back to your native country (to visit or to stay)?

I don’t plan to go back to stay. I cannot start a life there after 29 years in Denmark. 

Do you miss your native country?

Yes, I do.

 

Do you feel Danish?

Yes…

 

Which religion do you practise?

I practise Islam.

 

 

Which holidays do you celebrate?

I don’t celebrate any Christian holidays, but I put up Christmas decorations – mostly for my son.

 Do you eat Danish food?

Yes, I do.

 What do you think about the Danish language?

I think that you should always learn the language of the country in which you’re living!

 Did you go to school before you came to Denmark?

No, I was only two years old when I left Turkey.

 

What is the best thing that has happened since you came to Denmark?

To have my son!
